Thank you Kaiser for continuing to support WalkDenver!

THANK YOU to Kaiser Permanente for continuing to support WalkDenver’s work to advance pedestrian policy in Denver!

A major grant from Kaiser in 2014 allowed WalkDenver to grow from a primarily volunteer-based organization to a professionally-staffed advocacy group.

WalkDenver is pleased to announce that Kaiser recently renewed our funding with another major grant.

The next few years present a critical window of opportunity for WalkDenver to influence the development of pedestrian policy in Denver, as well as the funding and implementation of infrastructure projects that will improve walkability throughout the City.

With support from Kaiser, WalkDenver will continue to be a strong voice for pedestrians as the City and County of Denver undertakes a number of efforts, including the development of a Denver Moves Pedestrians Plan; the development of Urban Street Design Guidelines; an update of the City’s comprehensive plan, Blueprint Denver; the development of a first ever city-wide transit plan; implementation of major infrastructure projects such as $28 million for improvements along Brighton Boulevard; and discussions about infrastructure funding through sources such as municipal bonds.

Thank you, Kaiser, for helping WalkDenver and the City and County of Denver to thrive!
