We need community input on the design of the Sunnyside Trevista intersection mural!

by Jessica Vargas on March 10, 2017

If you live in the Sunnyside neighborhood or like to walk and bike in the area, you can provide your input on the design for a new street mural that will be painted at the intersection of 41st & Navajo near Trevista at Horace Mann.

The Sunnyside neighborhood won a small grant in 2016 for a local walkability project and have chosen to use the funds to create an intersection mural outside Trevista Elementary School. Intersection murals can help beautify a space and also help remind drivers to be extra cautious and aware of pedestrians.

Dozens of Sunnyside residents and Trevista community members participated in a survey expressing what they love about our neighborhood and the school. They told us they loved the diversity of cultures and family feel of the neighborhood so we hope these designs reflect the heart of the community. You can see the designs below and select your favorite at the online survey.

Option 1: Frankie the Falcon

Option 2: Puzzle Pieces

Option 3: Trevista Logo with Mini-Murals
