Denver 2015 City Budget Public Hearing and Reception

Show your support for pedestrian funding on October 27

RSVP today for a reception hosted by WalkDenver, Councilwoman Jeanne Robb and Councilman Chris Nevitt immediately prior to the public hearing on the Denver 2015 City Budget.

The Mayor’s proposed budget includes funding for a Denver Moves Pedestrians plan, one of the “asks” in the petition that WalkDenver launched earlier this year. Now we need your support to show City Council why walking is important and how a new pedestrian plan will help make Denver the most walkable city in America.

Please join us for beverages, snacks, and networking before heading to the City Council meeting. At the meeting, we would love for you to make a short (3 minutes or less) testimony on the benefits of walking, the importance of a pedestrian plan, or why walking is important to you. Not sure what to say? Don’t worry, WalkDenver will be providing some basic talking points at the reception in order to get you started!

For questions related to the reception, please contact Ryan Sagar at

P.S. Don’t forget to RSVP!
