Donate $100 or more to receive a WalkDenver t-shirt

As a start-up non-profit, WalkDenver has achieved great success in our first few years. With an army of volunteers, we organized two successful Better Block events that demonstrated complete streets concepts and catalyzed long-term improvements in the Jefferson Park and Five Points neighborhoods. A major grant from Kaiser Permanente allowed WalkDenver to hire our first full-time staff member to support our policy and program work. We have gathered more than 1,000 signatures and more than 40 support letters for our petition, calling on the City and County of Denver to establish a Pedestrian Advisory Committee and develop a Denver Moves Pedestrians implementation plan.

We are thrilled to report that last month Denver Mayor Michael Hancock gave the green light to form the Advisory Committee, and the Mayor’s 2015 City Budget proposal released earlier this week includes funding for a pedestrian plan.

TshirtNow we need YOUR help to keep the movement going! Donate today to increase WalkDenver’s reach in the community, improve our pedestrian advocacy effectiveness, and support new programs and efforts to increase walkability in Denver. As part of our newly launched membership program, donors who give $100 or more will receive a WalkDenver t-shirt. Visit the WalkDenver website for information on additional benefits associated with various member and sponsorship levels.

Thank you for your support!
